Brittani Williams, phD. is a seasoned education and workforce professional with over 15 years of experience in student support, policy analysis, research, and advocacy at institutional, state, and federal levels. Currently serving as a Senior Director of Policy, focusing on improving K-12 assessment and accountability systems and ensuring that students have the support they need to succeed and complete higher education. Previously, as Director of Advocacy, Policy, and Research, Brittani led efforts to ensure equitable opportunities for student parents, driving advocacy and research that support their academic success and economic mobility.

Brittani’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from Texas Tech University, where her dissertation explored the experiences of Black mothers in higher education. She also holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University.

Throughout her career, Brittani has been dedicated to addressing issues such as college affordability, student loan debt, college access and attainment, and equity for underserved populations. Her work spans roles such as Senior Policy Analyst at The Education Trust and Project Manager for the American College Application Campaign. She has been involved in numerous research projects and publications, contributing to policy dialogues on student support, state and federal financial aid reform, student parent support, and racial equity in education.

Brittani’s leadership is characterized by her strategic acumen and commitment to advancing educational equity. In addition to her professional roles, she serves as an adjunct faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University, where she continues to engage with students and expand her impact on the future of higher education.
